The Fish House
So you’ve caught your fish, what now?
At Sandland Brygge just a few steps from your boat we have the fish house, within this building there is the filleting room, there are three wooden benches used for filleting, each complete with several taps with running water.
Once filleted, depending on your size of apartment you will have either one or two freezers in the room next to the filleting area to store your catch.
Please bring your own knives and sharpening tools. We also suggest you bring your own freezer bags to lay down your fillets.
From 2018 Sandland Brygge is compliant with the new government regulations giving you a take home allowance for fillets of 20kg, this is up from the previous 15kg but there is no trophy fish allowance now, the maximum is 20kg of fillets per person in your group.
Also for the 2018 season the Norwegian government has put a maximum size for halibut of 200cm or 100kg, all fish over this mark must be returned alive.
New for 2018, contained within the fish house we have a heated drying room for your waterproofs, floatation suits, boots, tackle bags etc. each apartment has a lockable cage to store your smelly wet gear rather than using the vestibule of your apartment, this helps to keep the apartments fresh.
